AUTHORITINY.FARM

Which comicbook lover in his right mind does not love The Authority?
Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch‘s masterpiece is a must-read, and in my case, a must-make-fanart .

MidNight was kept intact, because my sis is a huge fangirl, so I did this for her.
About his teammates, I can’t say the same. Here’s the new line-up:
(top to bottom, left to right):
• Mamilóide Engineer
• Apolo Uncle Zed
• Mimosinha Swift
• Pepino Hawksmoor
• Dr. Palmito
• Jenny Quantum & MidNight.

Yay! Freestyling on ZBrush = Awesomeness.
It’s a bloody shame I can’t get more time into it. If I wasn’t a lazy bastard with a hectic job I’m sure I would do a lot more of this.

This was made 100% from scratch, with no intentions of doing anything, and as it took some shape, I decided to dig into a monstruous version of the lil’ heart of palm. It really was nothing more than a brush, alpha and texturing test, and in the end, the result was cooler than I imagined.

A TINY CIVIL WAR

May 06 2010

Old Stuff here, but post-worthy nonetheless!
Hyped by Marvel Comic’s Civil War, I had to make a Tetópolis version of it (I have this bizarre fetish of merging my characters with fanart stuff, as you will see).
In the following pic you see Iron Pepino chasing the anti-registration Cap. Palmito.

Another ZBrush accomplishment, but this cannot be called an accident. This Mimosa was fully modeled in Maya, to then be exported into Zbrush. I really wanted to try out textures, rigs and complexity, so I willingly deviated from her “lovely look”.

My very first attempt at integrating these softwares, I was more one thing of trial and error. Needless to say, I’m far from an expert in character modelling.
Some views from the ‘ripped little piggie-cow’:

And for whoelse it may interest, her ‘shadeless’ model on Maya’s panel:

TETÓPOLIS REBOOT

Apr 19 2010

So here it is, the brand new TheTinyFarm blog, finally assembled in the way it was always supposed to be.
Yeah yeah, I moved on to WordPress. I guess that means this will be way more up to date than anything I have ever done before.
Hopefully I’ll manage to post all (which means ‘most of’) my professional and useless work. As some random bs*** as well.
That’s all for now!

Tetopolis Landscape

Oh, Liked the looks? I’m not exactly the only one to blame.
I may have designed the layout, but my mate, the CSS and XHTML ninja, Richard, made it look exactly as I wished.
Many, many thanks, man.

It’s effin late, tomorrow I have to go pretty damn early to the dentist and I can’t sleep. So to hell with it… I just made it on Maya (clunky as hell with Apple’s Magic Mouse) and here is a teaser for the “Oldie But Goodie” series. What is it for? Well, since my old flash portfolio is down, and with no plans of seeing the light of day again (I liked WordPress much more than XML), I decided to post here some older, really older stuff, that may or may not go back even to the days prior College (circa 1996′s and beyond).

Well maybe that was a bit of a stretch… what I can promise is that initially I’ll post some nice professional and other works from 2005 to 2008, and then we will see where it goes from there. But fear not, these will be to keep the things flowing around here, while the main focus are still new projects and artsy deliriums.
See you soon on the first OBG post.
